FULBRIGHT RESEARCH GRANT. BUILDING SILICON VALLEY
Research project sponsored by a Fulbright grant, Institute of Fine Arts, New York University
The examination of the greatest technopolis in the world is a way of exploring how the development of networks has determined the formation of economic power’s new and changing geography, and has also contributed to accentuating urban separation. In parallel with Silicon Valley, a virtually connected and physically separated city, the digital-age campus emerges as an urban complex, suspended between an experimental architectural typology, the creative factory, and a new type of monumentality tied to the persuasive power of brand.
